Alternative Customs Form

Government regulations require specific documentation for international shipments. These documents are submitted to Customs in the destination country and used to determine the applicable duty and tax. Properly completed, these documents can help your shipment pass through Customs quickly and smoothly.


Commercial Invoice

Prepare three copies (one original and two copies) when shipping any type of commodity other than letters and documents. You should use an invoice for any personal or commercial shipment going to Canada. Here is a suggested sample format. You may create or use your own invoice provided it contains all the information shown in the sample.
